Summary: Jonn of the Lilliputians, given his tiny size, knew he'd never be able to sail the high seas as he'd have wished. Even if as a Beta, he hadn't been expected to stay home and provide for his sister's children. He looked up at the night sky and imagined finding a star to navigate by.
While Sheerlocc of the Brobdingnags scorned such obligations to her sister Mycrafft's growing brood. She scorned the court of the King. She turned her attentions to science. She lived her life largely alone in a tower looking at the light of the distant stars and was largely mocked for her ways.
Now one cold and winter clear night, when the stars seemed close and the moon hung so low that she actually reached up her hands to pluck it down, she gave a weary laugh at her own ridiculousness. "Everything in this world is relative, my dear Moon." She wrote for hours and flung all that she knew into the sea. It was the sky that returned the answer.

Summary: The Beta looked thoughtful. "I'm Professor Sherlock Holmes. I shall be your fellow kidnappee for the journey. Now," he looked thoughtfully around, "If you give me a moment, I'll tell you where they've hidden the real coffee beans."
Later Sherlock said very gravely over a demon black cup of coffee, "John, you should know that there were some ancient societies that revered the Unpresented. Some," he lowered that italian roast voice of his and whispered, "practiced human sacrifice." He winked at John.
All in all, the Muvian cult were a bunch of idiots.

Title: Six to One
Writer/Reader: fresne
Fandom: Sherlock BBC, Land of the Lost (no seriously)
Pairings: Sherlock/John
Series: Variations on an Equation series, this is a series of Omegaverse stories that AU each other. Each story is a variation on a gender pairing of Sherlock/John as male, female, alpha, omega, beta. This particular story is Other-Sherlock/MaleOmega-John. (I'll mention the reason Sherlock always refers to John as she/her is because she's part of a race with one gender, and everyone is she/her. That's not a Land of the Lost thing. It's a this story thing.)
Rating: NC-17
Music Credit: Sound Bible sound effects
Size: 3, 8:39
Warnings: Omegaverse. Err... pouch manipulation, egg birthing. Sex pollen that results in a hand job.
Summary: She'lok's prurient interest in gender dimorphism had always been a bit... low for such an evolved being, but to encounter John, a life form from a species with six genders, it was just like the Winter Solstice festival.
There was also saving the world, but really... six genders instead of one... lovely.

Title: Down the River in a Lost World
Writer/Reader: fresne
Fandom: Sherlock BBC, Jules Verne's Journey to the Center of the Earth, Haggard's Ayesha
(sadly, despite the title not ACD's Lost World, but still dinosaurs). Also, a Bones fusion, which if it comes to it is an AU of ACD's Sherlock anyway.
Pairings: Sherlock/John
Series: Variations on an Equation series, this is a series of Omegaverse stories that AU each other. Each story is a variation on a gender pairing of Sherlock/John as male, female, alpha, omega, beta. This particular story is FemaleAlpha-Sherlock/FemaleOmega-John.
Rating: PG-13
Music Credit: Sound Bible sound effects
Size: 8.28, 23:22
Warnings: Omegaverse. Sex prior to heat and sex during heat. Female pregnancy.
Summary: The idea that Professor Moriarty's project for a power station at this military base was somehow of greater value than this precious find of a several thousand year old mummified body was bad enough. The fresh corpse missing head and hands that had had appeared at her dig site was an insult.
As if she couldn't identify a body with less. She was the foremost forensic anthropologist in the world. Agent Joan Watson said, "I believe you, Doc." She also said she'd consider coitus after the case was solved. Thus motivated, Sherlock set to analysis.
How dinosaurs came into the picture, now that was just ridiculous. Though Sherlock quite liked it.

Each story is a variation on a gender pairing of Sherlock/John as male, female, alpha, omega, beta. This particular story is FemaleAlpha-Sherlock/Other-John. Mer-John. Mumble-mumble-Sherlock. Though I think I give it away in the summary.
Rating: PG-13
Music Credit: Samuel E. Wright, "Under the Sea" Little Mermaid
Size: 8.28, 23:22
Warnings: Omegaverse. Suggestion of inter species sex. Drug use. Underage sex (not between the characters).
Summary: When Sherlock was nine, she found a wonderful fur coat in the attic of the summer house by the sea. She put it on with the fur turned inward and ran through the house spinning and laughing. When Mummy saw her, she ripped off the coat and flung it into the sea.
Mummy wanted Sherlock to never even see the sea again after that. Naturally, Sherlock obsessed with nothing else. The depths were full of mystery.
When she was twenty-nine, she was on a forced vacation at the summer house. When she was twenty-nine, she found the merman washed up on the beach. When all other things had been eliminated, what remained, what she saw with her own eyes, was the truth.

Summary: Jane Watson had rented the cottage on the Sussex Downs because she needed a quiet place away to work on her next novel. Though sometimes, she felt like her best days were behind her. She reminded herself that sixty wasn't that old. Her gran had lived to be over a hundred.
She hadn't meant to run into a retired detective protecting a Queen. Queen bee that was. She hadn't meant for any of it.

Rating: PG
Size: 3.1, 8:53
Warnings: Omegaverse. Bittersweet. Sad.
Summary: To wake up on a cold metal bed was unpleasant. To find that she was young again, that her body worked as it had not worked in thirty years, that her mind was once more that precise instrument and that the grit that she had never allowed herself to acknowledge was now a gaping hole in the middle of her chest.
She looked at Beth Lestrade, a descendant of her own Lestrade and listened to absurdity. With all that the future held in it, a moron had cloned Moriarty from a corpse in a Swiss cave and the solution, the only solution anyone could come up with, was to reverse aging and death itself so that Sherlock Holmes could once more be upon the case.
It was slightly depressing. Baker Street was a museum. She was a museum piece. She belonged in a museum. Computers. Flying vehicular transport. Compudroids.
Sherlock reminded herself that this compudroid, this thing of the future science did not mean to mock her when it put on Watson's face and spoke with Watson's voice and acted as if this was of assistance.

Summary: Jean met Sherlock one week before she shipped out, because Mikaela Stamford was evil.
Pure evil.
Jean was bitching about being horny and wanting to howl at the moon. She just wanted something no strings without having to fake who she was at a meat and greet Beta club. Mikaela gave her a grin made of pure evil and said, "Funny you should say that. You're the second person to say that to me today. And the first one is plain peculiar."
Jean looked down. She was wearing her "Not for Moo" t-shirt, which she felt got the message across pretty clearly. She said, "Lay on MacDuff."
The rest as they say, was historical making.

Summary: Death was announced to the long ballroom as the Grand Duke John of the West, which was interesting as choices of names went. Death wondered sometimes what people saw on the card, or the letters of invitation, or the stone tablets before that.
A tall thin Omega woman in a black wool dress leaned against the gold trimmed wall as if she was doing it a favour. The Omega, Sherlock, because Death knew her name, Death knew everyone's name, was holding a white cloth clutched in her hand flecked with red. She said, "I am not going to die tonight." That was true.
She really was the most interesting human Death had met in a very, very long time.

Summary: Master Fight-the-Good-Fight-of-Faith Watson was born into sin. Everyone was. It was the way things were. Even worse, he'd presented as an Omega, which was surely a sign he had been marked by a demon in his Mother's womb.
He had a picture in his head of Sherlock Holmes from his letters. Which even that pronoun was an example of how he wasn't good at deducing from the available facts. The reverse not being true...
