The story is... loosely inspired by the life of the scholar Al Hazen, who is referenced in Not My Man Godfrey. 

Summary:Where Caliph Ibn Moriarid grew weary of the disrespect of the Nile. It flooded when it wanted and how it wanted. It flowed through the lands he ruled and did not conform to his will.
